2. Scope of services

MilePal offers online language coaching, communication training, and related educational services. Services are delivered online via agreed digital platforms.

MilePal does not guarantee specific learning outcomes. Results may vary depending on individual effort, attendance, and circumstances.

3. Pricing and payment

All prices are displayed in euros (EUR).

Unless stated otherwise, prices include VAT and any other applicable taxes, or, where applicable, are stated as VAT-exempt.

Payment must be made in advance through the online payment methods made available by MilePal.

A booking is confirmed only after successful payment and written or electronic confirmation by MilePal.

MilePal reserves the right not to schedule, start, or continue services until full payment has been received.

The client will receive confirmation of the purchase on a durable medium, such as email, including the main details of the booked service.

4. Booking and delivery of lessons
  • Lessons are delivered online at agreed dates and times.

  • The client is responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and access to the required technology.

  • Lesson links or access details are provided electronically.

5. Cancellation and rescheduling policy

MilePal offers lesson packages. The following notice periods apply to cancellations and rescheduling requests:

a) 6-lesson package
A lesson cancelled or rescheduled less than 72 hours before the scheduled start time will be counted as used and deducted from the package.

b) 10-lesson package
A lesson cancelled or rescheduled less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time will be counted as used and deducted from the package.

c) 20-lesson package
A lesson cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will be counted as used and deducted from the package.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests submitted before the applicable deadline may be accepted without loss of the lesson. Rescheduling remains subject to reasonable availability.

MilePal may, at its sole discretion, allow changes outside the applicable notice period, but is not obliged to do so.

Failure to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice is considered a late cancellation and will be counted as used.

6. Refund policy

Unless a mandatory statutory right of withdrawal applies, refunds are available only for lessons that have not yet been delivered and have not been counted as used under clause 5.

For non-statutory refunds, MilePal may deduct:
- lessons already delivered;
- lessons counted as used due to late cancellation or no-show under clause 5; and
- non-refundable payment processing costs actually charged to MilePal by the payment provider.

If the client validly exercises a statutory right of withdrawal, MilePal will reimburse all payments received from the client without undue delay and, in any event, within the legally applicable period, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Where the client expressly requested MilePal to begin providing the services during the statutory withdrawal period, MilePal may charge a proportionate amount for the part of the service already provided up to the moment of withdrawal, insofar as permitted by applicable law.

7. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

By purchasing MilePal services and scheduling lessons, the client expressly agrees that the service begins immediately.

The client acknowledges that once the service has started, the statutory right of withdrawal under EU consumer law no longer applies.

8. Client responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • attend lessons on time;

  • communicate cancellations in accordance with this policy;

  • behave respectfully and professionally during sessions;

  • use the services solely for personal educational purposes.

MilePal reserves the right to terminate services in case of serious misconduct.

9. Intellectual property

All teaching materials, content, and resources provided by MilePal remain the intellectual property of MilePal unless stated otherwise.

Materials may not be copied, shared, recorded, or distributed without prior written consent.

10. Limitation of liability

MilePal is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of its services.

MilePal does not guarantee specific results or outcomes from educational services.

11. Privacy

Personal data is processed in accordance with MilePal’s Privacy Policy, available on the website.

12. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law.

Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

13. Changes to these Terms and Conditions

MilePal may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The most recent version will always be published on the website.
